Now, in preparation for the summer, I made this awesomely delicious snack and had to share!

Ingredients:

  • Sprite
  • Gummy Bears
  • Vodka (optional for the over 21)

Directions:

  1. In popsicle maker container, pour sprite 2/3 way full
  2. If adding vodka, pour 1 oz of vodka into each popsicle
  3. Add gummy bears into each popsicle area
  4. Place in freezer until frozen
  5. Eat! Watch out for brain freeze!

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz. Frozen Broccoli Bits- THAWED- chopped into small pieces if needed
  • 1 1/2 cups of Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • Dash of salt and pepper
  • RANCH DIP (optional for dipping sauce)

Directions:

  1. PREHEAT oven to 350 Degrees
  2. MIX all the ingredients together in large bowl
  3. STIR
  4. FORM into bite sized patties and place on GREASED cookie sheet
  5. BAKE for 15 minutes and FLIP over
  6. BAKE another 10-15 minutes or until golden brown
  7. SERVE warm with ranch dip as dipping sauce!

This recipe is great for picnics, parties and just plain late night snacking!

Ingredients:

  • 3 Large Apples (Green Apples work best)
  • 1/2 cup of Milk
  • 1/2 a package of Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix
  • 4 oz. of Cool Whip
  • 1 cup of Snickers

 

Directions:

  1. First, mix together milk and instant pudding mixture until thoroughly blended. 
  2. Then carefully fold in Cool Whip
  3. Refrigerate Pudding/Cool Whip mixture for 1 hour
  4. Cut up Apples and Snickers into bit sized chunks
  5. Stir Apples, Snickers into the pudding/Cool Whip mixture
  6. Enjoy!

Banana PB Krispy 

Ingredients:

1 Banana
Peanut Butter
Rice Krispies

Directions:

1. Unwrap banana
2. Cover banana with peanut butter by gently spreading it with a knife
3. Roll banana covered in peanut in rice krispies
4. Eat!

(Makes about 6-8 muffins)

Ingredients:

 

  • Corn Muffin Mix (like Jiffy)
  • 1/3 cup Milk
  • 1 egg
  • Hot Dogs
  • Cream Cheese (optional)
  • Chopped Jalapeno (optional)

 

Directions:

 

  1. Preheat oven to 400 Degrees
  2. Grease muffin pan
  3. Mix together milk, egg and cornbread mix
  4. Let batter rest for 3-4 minutes (batter may be lumpy)
  5. Chop a couple hot dogs into 1-2 inch chunks
  6. Stir again and pour into muffin pan making sure to fill cups 1/2 full 
  7. Place a couple hot dog chunks into muffin cups
  8. Place 1 teaspoon of cream cheese and/or chopped jalapeno into each cup
  9. Bake in oven for 15-20 minutes
  10. Let cool
  11. Eat!

I recently stumbled across my mother's many recipes for delicious warm me up cocktails! Enjoy and may your holidays be filled with "I've Got Drunkies" delights!

 

 

 

Hot Buttered Rum Mix  

1 stick (1/2 cup) butter  
1/4 t. nutmeg
1/4 t. ground cloves
1/4 t. cinnamon
1 pound light brown sugar
1 pt. vanilla ice cream

Mix together well with electric mixer and store in tight container in freezer. To make individual servings, place 1 heaping Tablespoon of mixture in mug with very hot water and a shot of rum. Stir. Top with whipped cream (Readi-Whip is fine). Mixture keeps indefinitely in freezer and can be easily spooned while frozen. Makes a cool whip size bowl worth of mixture, enough for many mugs of drink.

So when we discovered the artist Bryan Lewis Saunders and his drug induced art, we were intrigued.

His work of self-portraits are really captivating. Bryan Lewis Saunders has done a self portrait EVERY DAY of his life since 1995 and has produced a wide array of work with no two self portraits being the same. He has 6 different self portrait series including Anxiety, Love, Pain, Yellow Month, Drugs and Nature. The drug series is particularly fascinating. For each portrait he was on a drug (anything from pot to Xannex). It's like seeing the world through those drugs via art. Definitely worth a looky!
