Watermelon
Vodka
Instructions
Chop up some fresh watermelon and pour on the unflavored vodka.
Pop the vodka-ed watermelon into a nicely sealed container in the refrigerator and let set for at least one hour to allow it to chill down and soak up that alcohol infused yumminess.
Notes
Don’t take it from us…. Take it from Mary Jane’s pet Pac-Man who loves his watermelon this way! Happy summer drunkies!
Mary Jane and us here at I’ve Got Munchies wants to wish our fellow Americans a HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY! Mary Jane has already started the party with her tri corner hat, American Flag and bottle of Jack! Just be sure to stay safe when you get the “I’ve Got Drunkies”! God Bless the USA!!
In cold weather months, I tend to drink more bourbon heavy drinks and heated liquor concoctions. I recently stumbled across my mother’s many recipes for delicious warm me up cocktails! Enjoy and may your holidays be filled with “I’ve Got Drunkies” delights!
Into coffee mug, pour schnapps and creme de cacao. Stir until mixed. Add packet of hot chocolate mix. Stir until dissolved. Almost fill with boiling water. Stir well. Top with whipped cream and drizzle cream de menthe over it.
Mix together well with electric mixer and store in tight container in freezer. To make individual servings, place 1 heaping Tablespoon of mixture in mug with very hot water and a shot of rum. Stir. Top with whipped cream (Readi-Whip is fine). Mixture keeps indefinitely in freezer and can be easily spooned while frozen. Makes a cool whip size bowl worth of mixture, enough for many mugs of drink.
Krupnik is one of the oldest known drinks in Poland, dating back into the Middle Ages. References to it are found in literature, folk songs and poetry. Drunk in large quantities it was supposed to fell strong warriors and conquer conquerors. So, a word to the wise — but it is most enjoyable!
